  1. Very interesting. Any relation between Charles Joseph Peltier and Marie Rose Delima Peltier?

    I LOVE this blog!!!

    1. Thanks Peggy! I am glad that you are enjoying the site.
I have not found any connection between Albert’s and Celestine’s Peltier lines. Albert’s line I know back to my 8th great-grandparents and Celestine’s line back to my 10th great-grandparents. That far back both are in France and it would be very difficult to determine if there was a common relative further back.
Interestingly we have two lines of Pelletier (Peltier) on the Vadnais side of our tree. My 9th great-grandparents produced a son and daughter that married into different lines of the Vadnais family. These siblings are 8th great-grandparents of mine with, of course, different spouses. So far it is the only connection I have found between all of the Pelletier (Peltier) ancestors on the numerous branches of our family tree.
I am not surprised that I’m not finding anymore connections. I read that between 1636 and 1757 at least a dozen male Pelletier (Peltier) immigrated to New France (Canada). Most families had just one or two ancestors that immigrated to New France. For example, we had only the one Vadnais, Pierre Remi (Remy).

  2. So very interesting! I love this. I can’t begin to imagine the amount of time and research taken to discover all of this. Looking forward to the next installment!
