Another photo Friday!

Early 1940s in the front yard of the family home at 411 Bald Eagle Avenue, Adlore and Ellen with several of their children (my grandparents, aunts, uncle and Dad)

Ellen Vadnais (my grandmother) on the left and Adlore Vadnais (my grandfather) lower right.  The other 6 people are friends: the Gallivans, Lonergans and the Mogrens

    These are great ! Respectfully asked:
    Questions: The first picture looks like Uncle Charles rather than your dad.
    The second picture doesn’t look like Grandpa.

      Glad you like them.
      Yes, he does look like Charles. However, by this point in time Charles was about 30 years old and gone from home. The other reason I know it’s my Dad is because of the shoes and the clothing. I have other pictures of him wearing those particular clothes & shoes.
      The people in the 2nd picture were identified for me about 20 years ago by our aunts, uncles & parents. Grandpa does look different in the picture, but his children said it was him.
      On occasion I do have trouble identifying family members in some pictures. Often the problem is the strong Vadnais family resemblance. At least we can tell that we belong to the family!
