Circa 1953 – Left to right: Cousins Susan Vadnais, Susanne Green, Mary Vadnais, Karen Vadnais and Joe VadnaisThe picture was taken in front of their grandparents’ home (Adlore and Ellen) at 411 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake. The 2 white eagles are advertising pieces from the 1920s for White Eagle (Mobiloil) Gasoline Company. I think Karen is holding one of Grandma’s cinnamon rolls. It looks like the event may have been Joe’s First Communion. Susan would have been about 7 years old, Susanne about 6 years old, Mary about 6 years old, Karen about 3 years old and Joe about 8 years old. Circa 1938 – Ellen Vadnais with 3 of her children: (left to right) Gordon Francis (Gordy), Anna Mae and Marguerite. Gordy and Anna Mae were celebrating their First Communion. Ellen would have been about 49 years old, Gordy about 9 years old, Anna Mae about 8 years old and Marguerite about 11 years old.
