Circa 1910 – (left) Howard Bloom and (right) William Francis Vadnais
I don’t know if the cigars, hats and coats are a part of the staged photo or not.  Howard was married to my Grandmother’s sister Vina Peltier and William was one of my Grandfather’s older brothers.  Both were married in 1911.
Circa 1940 – Outside the White Bear Oil Company garage facing Fourth Street
Shown (left to right): Unknown, Charles Vadnais (with his hands up) and Gordy Vadnais.  Both Charles and Gordy would become partners in the business.
Standing on the right is William Francis Vadnais at his home and business location on Miller Avenue, White Bear Lake – the sign on the garage reads: “Wm. Vadnais Plumbing and Well Work.”
Shown with William are his son-in-laws Mike Strantz (left) and Forrest Riley (center) and on the bicycle is William’s grandson Bill Riley. Bill Riley passed away on May 9, 2025.  He was 91 years old.
