I was told that Joe and Bert were drinking buddies. It appears that they also liked to fish. There’s a possibility that the lake behind them is Lake Vadnais since it was the closest lake to the Peltier family farm.

Avis, Cleve and Clem are siblings. JoAnn is Vivian and Clem’s daughter.
Cleve and his wife Mabel owned an old hobby farm at Trade Lake, Wisconsin where the family would go for a getaway (see the next picture). It was located about 70 miles northeast of St. Paul, making it an easy weekend trip.

Thanks for visiting, come back soon,
Cynthia

Enjoying the fishing picture a lot… Joe has suspenders and what appears to be a pocket watch while Bert has a belt and (I think, can’t see that well) a wristwatch. Small changes between generations… and that is quite the fish!
You sure have been busy, collecting and writing these things up. I hope that a lot of the descendants of the Vadnais family are printing all of this work you have done and are putting it together in a book for their descendants to have.
interesting thx so much. Oxoxoxox
I just discovered your blog and I am completely blown away!! You have so much information and how fortunate you are to have all those photos. I was given a box of “prayer cards” years ago and when I questioned my father as to who these people were he did not know. He only knew they were relatives. That got me going into genealogy. I wanted to know just how we were connected. Your blog is fascinating to me. Thank you.
