Portraits of the Adlore and Ellen Vadnais Family

The following are family portraits I have of Adlore and/or Ellen with their children.

**Circa 1917 – back row (left to right): Adlore, Ellen and Florence Eugenia. Front row (left to right): George, Henry and Charles**
In 1917 Adlore would have been about 27 years old, Ellen about 28 years old, Florence was just months old, George around 7 years old, Henry 3 years old and Charles 6 years old.

I believe the following picture is the first picture taken of the entire family after all of the children were born. Two of the children, Henry and Lawrence, had both passed away; Lawrence on January 14, 1914 and Henry on June 19, 1919.

Adlore was about 43 years old, Ellen about 44 years old, Mona about 12 years old, Charles about 21 years old, George about 23 years old, Florence about 16 years old, Richard about 14 years old, Leona about 10 years old, John about 8 years old, Gordon about 4 years old, Anna Mae about 3 years old and Marguerite about 7 years old.

I don’t know when the next picture was taken (let me know if you know the year).

I think that the picture was taken about 1946. Adlore would have been about 57 years old, George about 36 years old, Gordon about 18 years old, Charles about 35 years old, Richard about 27 years old and John about 21 years old.

The following picture is the only other picture that I know of that shows Adlore and Ellen with their 10 children. It was printed in the January 6, 1977 White Bear Press on page 8. Both Adlore and Ellen has passed away by then; Adlore on May 4, 1973 and Ellen on June 10, 1969. From what I was told, the picture was taken in 1967. Everyone seems to be in about the same location in the picture as they were in the first family picture taken about 1933. I assume it was done intentionally.

Mona about 46 years old, Charles about 56 years old, George about 57 years old, Florence about 50 years old, Richard is about 48 years old, Leona is about 44 years old, John is about 42 years old, Adlore is about 78 years old, Ellen is about 79 years old, Marguerite is about 41 years old, Gordon is about 39 years old and Anna Mae is about 37 years old.
